The History of the Kingdom of Shu
The Kingdom of Shu or Shu-Han how was also known, was first established by Liu Bei, the first Emperor of Shu and along with his trusted subodinates, he achieved to be recognized throughout the land.
It all started with the oath of brotherhood he made at the Peach Garden with Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, his best generals, to end the chaos of the troubled land and to achieve peace and country's prosperity by restoring the Han Dynasty and bringing it to its former glory. And so, he raised an army of about 300 men and joined the other warlords in the war against the Yellow Turban Rebellion held by Zhang Jiao. After the rebellion was extinguished, among all the warlords, less were rewarded by the falling Han, and Liu Bei was one of those. But even so, his respect and dream of restauration didn't ended, in fact it grew even stronger.
After the Fall of the Han, one of the commanders in charge of the defense of the Imperial Court, Dong Zhuo, took over the Emperor and by evil doings he made the young emperor to abdicate, and placing Emperor Xian on the throne, saying he was a servant of the emperor, but who only served himself and he instaured a reign of terror. Then, the spirits of the reginal warlords got united in a Coallition to take down the traitor. The Coallition was lead by Yuan Shao, a descendant of the distinguished Yuan Family who served the Imperial Court for several generations. At that time, Liu Bei was faced with other problems, such as finding a base where to establish his force, but at the request of Gongsun Zan, his friend of childhood when they were both studying under Liu Shao, he was persuaded to join the Coallition under Gongsun Zan.
